Public Goodbye Letter From The Collier Township Municipal Authority.
As you may know, on April 27th, 2020, the Township of Collier adopted Ordinance No. 711 calling for the conveyance of the Collier Township Municipal Authority Sanitary Sewer System to the Township and the dissolution of the Authority. Although we at the Authority will miss serving our community, it is with great pride that we can reflect upon the decades of our community-focused service.
The Collier Township Municipal Authority was incorporated on September 18, 1949 to provide sanitary sewer service to those areas that were not yet served by the Township of Collier, and to maintain those sanitary sewer lines already in service. Since that time, for nearly seventy-one (71) years, the Authority has dutifully and faithfully served the citizens of Collier with the utmost care, respect and professionalism.
Our Authority was unrivaled in its board member longevity and highly functioning operations. Each and every board member put in countless hours of dedicated and deliberate time to ensure the best possible rate and service for their customers, and they are all proud of their service to their community. In the long history of the Authority, the following represents an exhaustive list of all those who gave their time to the prosperity of the Authority:
Mr. Chobot - Former
Mr. Hrpcrak - Former
Mr. Kapeluck - Former
Mr. Viviano - Former
Joseph Miorelli -Former
William Godfrey - Former
Rick Ruffenanch - Former
Ed Smith - Former
Brian Heil – Former

However, this list does not represent the numerous other Authority employees and community-focused Collier citizens that put in the time and effort to make CTMA such a well-run and successful operation. Words cannot express the sheer depth of our gratitude to them, and every other Collier citizen that has been a faithful customer throughout the past seven decades.
We are also highly optimistic for the future of the Collier Sanitary Sewer System under the Township’s leadership. We have been working with the Township at the highest of professional standards in order to provide our citizens a seamless transition. Our last meetings will take place on June 30, 2020 and July 16, 2020. The July 16 meeting will be merely a formal wrap-up of any outstanding matters before our dissolution.
Thank you once again for standing by us for all of these years. |
